Aphasia

Our experienced therapist will evaluate, diagnose and provide treatment to patients who have suffered a stroke or head injury.  Aphasia affects the persons ability to express and understand spoken language, and  struggle with understanding written language.  Our goals is to provide you with strategies and compensatory strategies to help you regain your independence.

Cognitive Rehabilitation

We provide assessment and treatment to patients that have suffered brain injury, such as a stroke or traumatic brain injury, with strategies that will help with everyday tasks such as memory, sequencing daily tasks,  organizational skills (creating lists and reminders) and much more. The goal of Cognitive rehabilitation is to restore the persons normal  functioning or provide strategies that will aid in providing them the independent skills they had before their injury.

Accent Modification

We provide you with the tools necessary to significantly reduce or modify your accent so that you can communicate clearly in any community or professional environment. Our Accent reduction or Accent Modification program is an intensive program that will help you better understand the English language sound system and intonation needed  for communicating clearly.

Dysphagia

Our therapist can evaluate and/or follow treatment plans from other evaluations provided by a Speech therapist. We can provide treatment if you  have problems swallowing certain foods or liquids, have pain while swallowing, having sensation that food is stuck or unable to eat without coughing.  We will help you improve your ability to safely swallow and tolerate eating foods.
